Magrath Golf Club Welcomes Glen DesRoche as our new Club Professional
The Magrath Golf Club Board of Directors is excited to introduce Glen DesRoche to our members and the community of Magrath. The recruitment process presented the Board with several solid candidates, and the interviews led to the decision of the Board to bring Glen to Magrath. While heavily engaged in golf most of his life, we encourage, and Glen welcomes, members, to get to know him and the journey that has brought him to Magrath. Glen loves teaching golf and doing all he can to make the game more enjoyable for all ages and stages of a golfer's journey. Junior golfers are a particular passion. Glen will be hitting the ground running. Watch for announcements in the near future as we get him logged into the system.

Hello members of Magrath Golf Club and Community, I am beyond excited to join you as the Director of Golf Operations and Head Professional. I am coming to you from the Picture Butte Golf Club where I have been the Associate Professional for the past four years. I look forward to getting to know you and learning how together we can enjoy the game of golf at the Magrath Golf Club.
Joining me in this adventure is my wife of almost 10 years, Kelsey DesRoche and my two daughters Raylyn (7) and Rory (5). Kelsey is a team lead at Wood’s Homes in Lethbridge, focusing on connecting vulnerable youth to appropriate resources.
Our family loves to golf together - fun fact - Kelsey and I are the defending PGA of Alberta Pro-Lady North Champions! The girls have both been taking junior lessons with me since they were each three years old, however, gymnastics is also becoming a favourite in our home.
I am grateful for the opportunity that the Magrath Golf community has provided for me and my family, and we are thrilled about this new journey. My family and I hope to be a part of the Magrath Golf Club for a very long time.
